Philippines Aid – Shelter Box

Following the devastation in the Philippines, the Interact Club have now sent to 2 boxes of aid from UK charity 'Shelter Box' – one of the main UK charities who provide disaster relief.

The charity already had two teams of workers on the ground distributing aid following the earthquake in September when the Typhoon hit. The disaster and human cost has now reached epic proportions.

A 'Shelter Box' contains a ten man tent, stove, water purification system, emergency ration packs, sleeping bags, insulated ground sheet and much more.

Each Box costs £570 and the Club held a Family Quiz night 16th November to raise funds to enable them to send a third Shelter Box to the Philippines.
